Large, showy flowers soft lilac to pink with a darker rose-magenta lip, sometimes with a whitish throat. Blooms measure 8–10 cm across, typically appearing in pairs or small clusters on leafless canes. Fragrant, with a sweet floral scent. Native to Sri Lanka and South India, flowering usually occurs in late spring to early summer. Flowers last 2–3 weeks under good conditions.
